Chocolate Hills. Fine Art of Nature

These uniformly cone or dome shaped hills serves to be Bohol’s signature.

Amazingly covered with grass that turned brown during the dry season which makes it look like really chocolates. These hills made of limestone’s left over from coral reefs during the ice age when the island was submerged.

Estimately, more or less 1268 hills and about 30 to 50 meters high.

Hills are scattered around the towns of Carmen, Batuan and Sagbayan.
